I stayed in a superior twin room with lounge access and it was spacious. i especially liked the hotel's self-service laundry. It was quite useful, especially after a week on the road! the hotel is modern and also conveniently close to two subway lines, awesome for convenient travel around the area. plus, taxis were readily available on the avenue.

the check-in time was at 3 pm. since i got there earlier in the day, i needed to leave my luggage and then return later.

the breakfast included a nice variety, such as eggs cooked to order, including omelets and scrambled. you could also find some cheeses, sliced chicken, and salmon. a selection of vegetables, fruits, yogurts, sausages, and cereals were available too.

the staff was incredibly welcoming when i arrived to check in; they were both informative and helpful. they made sure to thoroughly explain all of the available facilities. this was a lovely change from my last hotel, so i super appreciated it.

the hotel featured a beautiful onsen where i could unwind. the lounge provided complimentary coffee, juice, and alcoholic beverages at different times of the day. the hotel also offered specialty desserts in the afternoon. AMAZING!!!

The subway access was very convenient. Kyoto station was only nine minutes away. The staff was very helpful, they provided excellent service. Lounge access is definitely recommended for a relaxing stay. We sampled good drinks after our daily explorations.

the lighting controls in our room seemed too complex, i had some initial difficulty understanding them

we enjoyed the western-style breakfast , it offered a pleasant range of different food items. the japanese breakfast on our last day was especially nice and delicious. the lounge experience , with afternoon tea and pre-dinner cocktails , added a wonderful touch to our stay.

i noticed the absence of face towels in the room , only body and hand towels were provided.

The karasuma oike subway station is super close. It's only a five minute walk. a few attractions are within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, i thought that was great. the quiet location was really awesome for my short visit.

the breakfast was not worth the price i paid for it. i wanted to extend my checkout by an hour, but it wasn't possible without extra charge. the air conditioning seemed quite slow.

I found the breakfast underwhelming (for the price). It lacked variety, and some items seemed to be missing basic elements like toast or a wider selection of toppings for the omelets. extending the checkout time by just one hour was impossible. A rigid policy I didn't care for after a fairly long stay. The air conditioning was rather slow to cool the room. these issues left me feeling a bit disenchanted.
